Hey Guys…

Just a few words to let you know that we had a great time in Finland, the shows were really awesome and the finnish fans R O C K!

We knew that already but it was nice to see that what we remembered from prior shows were really true.

We are almost done with our label-negotiations and think we will be able to present a release date within 2 weeks , and just to clarify, we have lot’s of history with different labels that we needed to clear up before signing a new deal with anyone. This has taken so much longer than anticipated, I mean we have been sending contacts back and forth since last JUNE,    so of course this has been really frustrating for us as musicians, but at the same time we’ve been forced to be really business-minded. BUT …. as I said we are now down to one label and hope to tell you which one really soon.

During the month of April we decided to sign all of the stuff bought in our webstore and dedicate it to the person who’s on the order-form. ( that is if you want us to of course, we wouldnt want to fuck your cd’s up ) So if you dont want them signed,or if it is for another name, write that in the order .

Hi there !

Just wanted to give you a quick update on what’s been going on in Evergrey Camp during the last week.

After the first real vacation in 6 summers we all are back on track and feel really inspired to get back to writing.

Henrik’s been in Thailand, Rikard in Madrid, Jonas spent his summer in Sweden and I have been visiting my Mom in Gran Canaria, Spain .

Last week I was in Holland helping out Arjen Lucassen on a couple of songs on his upcoming album with Ayreon. That’s going to be a great album as always and I can assure you that my singing is quite diverse from what you are used to hear on the Evergrey albums, so be sure to check it out!

Jari became a father last week to a little girl by the name of Saga , so congratulations to the whole family!

We have 7 songs finsihed by now. I honestly think you all will be really excited when you finally will hear the end result cause what has been written so far is some really awesome music !

Label wise , we are still negotiating with 3 different ones and this time we will not sign anything until we are 100% sure and content with what we get.

Next week Jari will arrive and we will start to rehearse for real for the upcoming shows and album, Can’t wait to play live again since it has been a rather slow summer.

We are also working with a new business coordinator who’s job is to secure endorsement deals as well as give us suggestions on how we would be able to improve financially and strategically.

We have already a European tour booked for February but more details on this will of course come later.

All in all we are trying to get everything and everyone fired up in order to make sure this will be our best album ever!

Hey people

I would like to take the chance to try this blog thing out for the first time by letting you know that we have received so many applications for the bass-player spot that it feels like all of our fans we have must be bass-players ; ).

During the next week or two we will have decided on who should become our guy and we would like to thank ALL of the people showing interest in this by sending your bios, pics and samples. we really appreciate it, but since it is impossible for us to write to each and everyone of you we will just announce the news here and if you haven’t heard from us by now you are not one of the guys we are considering and we wish you good luck for the future.

In other news :

We are currently writing heavily in order to give you an album that we ourselves know that we put 100% into and so far it is sounding really promising. Is it heavier, darker, more progressive, more commercial, less commercial are there more guitar solos from Henrik and Tom, blastbeats from Jonas and blistering piano-playing from Rikard ?????

Yes …. but then again ….no … : )

We will post movie-clips every week from the studio starting in late August/early September in order to keep you all updated on what the hell is going on in the Evergrey camp. This is something that we have been extremely lame at but from now on we will certainly try our best to improve that massively.

As far as a label goes we are currently negotiating with a few and hopefully we will have decided on who to work with within the ending of next month.
