Support acts for European tour announced
There will be 3 support bands on the upcoming European tour. They are Edgend (Israel), Myrath (Tunisia) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (Italy). These bands will support Evergrey on all of the European tour dates in May and early July.

News about the next album, first tourdates are up and more!
Hey friends..
As promised there will be a whole lot of news coming your way in the coming weeks and days.
We have and still are undergoing some BIG changes in Evergrey at the moment. This involves everything you can possibly imagine, and can’t imagine. BUT we are also very determined and focused on making the best album we have ever accomplished! We have NEVER spent so much time on detail as we are doing on this album. Everything from sounds to song-structures is under the magnifying glass and nothing will be left to chance.
Purely business related we are also undergoing changes, both big and small and the only thing we can and are allowed to say right now is that being us is very exciting for the moment 
Of course you will all be informed about this as soon as we know for certain that the plans are going to take place.
BUT we DO have some new tour-dates as well as quite a few to still be added on other continents than Europe so for our fans outside of Europe don’t give up hope we will try to please everyone as soon as possible, probably sooner than you think
And for our Euro fans, be sure you get tickets for these shows as they will be something none of you have seen from Evergrey before. Hmmmm what else might there be to tell…?
Yeah, back to the album! 11 songs are written and we will keep on writing and recording as long as time allows us. We are very pleased with the result and the direction we are heading right now. Maybe there is bit more weight put on melody and the orchestration of some songs. As said before, the sounds have become VERY important for us, every song has its own unique trademark as far as the sounds go. There are short songs (meaning 3 – 3.30 minutes) There are long songs (meaning up to 6.40) for the moment. There are slow, heavy, fast and atmospheric songs and of course most important of all – it sounds more Evergrey than ever!

UK Metalfest show canceled
Unfortunately Evergrey have been forced to cancel the show tonight in Dudley at Metalfest UK. Here’s the explanation of the situation straight from the band who are still on the European tour:
“Since the concert promoter failed to fulfill his agreements including paying us the money this makes it impossible for us to play the Metalfest. We are on tour in Croatia at the moment and we would also have additional costs to get ourselves to England and we just received a SMS message from the promoter where it said he won’t be able to pay us.
This means that we as a band would lose even more money since we will have overweight for luggage and having to rent vans for airports. The promoter apologized to us in a new SMS – BUT nothing and noone are more sad than us for having to betray our UK fans… IF there are any fans that want to come to any of our other shows we will help you out with tickets to the show and maybe even arrange a meet and greet, all to ease your losses maybe a bit. Those of you who can do that can e-mail us at evergreyfans@gmail.com for more details. Once again Evergrey are sending their apologies but it’s out of our hands.
This concert promoter (MARK OWEN) had hired the club for the festival weekend and is solely responsible for what happened – the club JBS Dudley has nothing to do with the cancellation and we would be happy to play at JBS Dudley one day.”

Brazilian show confirmed

(update on Nov 4th: the previously announced show on December the 12th for Bragança Paulista has now been moved to São Paulo – so there will be only one concert in Brazil and it happens on December the 13th.)

Serbian show canceled due to a venue problem
The Serbian show is cancelled due to a venue problem (i.e.: doublebooking). The Serbian promoter Terra Nostra and the Evergrey camp have been trying to find a solution by moving dates, searching for new venues but nothing has fallen into our favour. Nobody’s more than the disappointed than the band who have always been very impressed by support of the Serbian fans and we hope to be back real soon.
Here is the promoter’s explanation:
Evergrey – Otkazan
Sa zaljenjem Vas moramo obavestiti da se zakazani koncert grupe Evergrey ovog septembra u SKC-u, ipak nece odrzati. Kako trenutne stvari u Beogradu stoje, jedini adekvatan prostor za odrzavanje ovakvog koncerta, mala sala SKC-a (Living Room), je vec iznajmljena za trazeni datum, a alternativu nismo nasli iz raznih razloga (neki prostori ne zadovoljavaju standarde koje bend trazi, a neki su preskupi za koncert ovakvog tipa). Buduci da vec duze od mesec dana trazimo resenje, a nismo ga nasli, prinudjeni smo da u dogovoru sa bendom ipak ne organizujemo koncert. Bilo kakav kompromis bi nesumnjivo doneo stetu ili bendu, ili fanovima ili organizatorima, a kako svi znamo da je Evergrey u organizaciji Terra Nostre odrzao vec 2 sjajna koncerta u Beogradu, nema smisla kvariti utisak, vec cemo u interesu svih radije sacekati sledecu priliku da ovaj sjajni bend ponovo poseti nasu prestonicu.
Kako problem sa prostorom vec odavno postoji, karte nisu ni pustene u prodaju, dok se sve ne razresi, tako da sa tim nema nikakvih problema. Molimo sve za razumevanje, uz veliko izvinjenje. Zaista ne mozemo protiv trenutnog stanja u zemlji, a to je cinjenica da za koncerte malih metal bendova ne postoji nista iole adekvatno osim Living Room-a, i ako je taj prostor zauzet, sve pada u vodu.

Get to meet Evergrey on tour and win free stuff!
In connection with the upcoming Evergrey tour of Europe we are offering fans a unique chance to get to meet the band in your respective country.
This is a chance for Evergrey and their most dedicated fans to get to meet each other. The only thing you’ll have to do is to send in your application which could consist of: Artwork, personal story, Youtube clip, a memory, tattoo – whatever you feel best represents your dedication to Evergrey. So needless to say it has to be “Evergrey-related”.
The members of the band will go through the applications and choose 2 fans for each city/venue/show who will get:
- Free tickets to the show
- A bag of merchandise
- A chance to get inside the tourbus (this is where its able to park the bus outside the venue) and of course meet all the members and get whatever you see fit signed.
This is very important: mark your application with the name of the city in the e-mail “Subject” field and don’t forget to leave your correct e-mail address where you can be reached.

New European tour dates for the fall
Here are finally some concert dates for some of you to look forward to.
ALL these dates are confirmed by us and if nothing extraordinary happens (even if luck lately has not been on our side) they will all go on as planned. So run, crawl or do whatever you see fit in order to get your tickets before the promoters get cold feet 
Hope to see all of you and there will probably be some more dates added but don’t take that as a promise!
If anyone feels like they want to join as opening acts and have finances to support such a thing to there is still time even though we are right now sorting out a few bands. Send a mail and bio/anything else you feel is necessary to tom@evergrey.net and you’ll get a fair chance. Last day for applications is July the 30th.

Supporting Deep Purple!
Evergrey has just been confirmed to support one of the most classic rock bands, Deep Purple, in Västerås (Sweden) on the 14th of July. The show will be held at the Bombardier Arena and tickets are already available from ticnet.se
